Restorative Classes

Remember, Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga in which poses are held for longer periods of time. Usually poses are held for about 5 minutes each in a Yin sequence. I guess you could say that Yin is in the same family as Restorative, so if you're looking to move slow, focus on unwinding, and controlling your breath then this class should do the trick. As we slow our breath, we also slow our minds and present the chance to let go of tension. Naturally, this class will work well for beginners with its slow pace and very grounded postures. As with most Yin or Restorative classes, props can be helpful. In this class, a blanket, and two blocks will come in handy. Poses include a variety of restorative postures including Balasana (Child's Pose), Supported Setu Bandha Sarvangasana (Bridge Pose), Jathara Parivartanasana (Supine Twists), and more. As always practice safely. Enjoy!
